Mark your calendars for this chance for the young and young at heart to learn more about how democracy and government work. There will be games, prizes, and free raffle drawings! Snacks include mini corn dogs, mini doughnuts, popcorn, cotton candy, and apple slices.

You’ll also be able to meet elected officials, including State Senator James Manning, State Representative Nancy Nathanson, Lane County Commissioner Laurie Trieger, Eugene City Councilor Jennifer Yeh, and Springfield City Councilor Kori Rodley. Local candidates joining us on April 29 include 4J School Board candidates Tom Di Liberto, Rick Hamilton, Gordon Lafer, Jenny Jonak, and Morgan Munro; Bethel School Board candidates Curt Nordling and Robin Zygaitis; and South Lane School District candidate Martha Allen.

Prizes include parties at Defy Trampoline Park and Camp Putt; tickets to Magical Moombah at the Shedd Institute; gift cards from Sundance, The Wheel Apizza Pub, Great Harvest Bread; a basket of crafts from Saturday Market artisans; and lots more.
