Springfield City Council Public Hearing: Patrician Mobile Home Park Rezoning

  • Springfield City Council Chambers 225 5th St. Springfield, OR 97477 (map)

The Springfield City Council will be meeting today for the first public hearing regarding the rezoning of the Patrician Mobile Home Park from single family to mixed-use commercial. This will displace 81 mobile homes and more than 130 senior citizens, veterans, and others on fixed incomes, as covered by the Register Guard.

The city’s Planning Commission voted 4-to-3 to deny the zone change. This City Council meeting is a chance to show up and support affordable housing for all residents of Springfield. Consider providing three minutes of testimony - but even if you’re not comfortable with public speaking, you can still help fill the room to show the Council that the community overwhelmingly wants the city to put people over profits. You can also sign this petition, which will be delivered to the City Council.
