Eugene City Council: YIMBYs Speak Up about CET

  • Harris Hall 125 E. 8th Ave. Eugene, OR 97401 (map)

Join YIMBY Eugene Springfield at the Eugene City Council meeting to support the construction excise tax. YIMBY Stands for "yes in my backyard.” It is a countercurrent to the idea of NIMBYism, which stands for "not in my backyard". Being a YIMBY is all about making housing affordable for everyone by almost any means possible.

The Eugene City Council vote for the implementation of the CET will be happening this evening, and there will be a public forum before the vote. Proceeds from this tax on builders, will go directly to building affordable housing in our communities. Come speak out or just show support and wear a sticker. YIMBY Eugene Springfield will be handing them out at the event!
