Voters in Oregon cast their ballots by mail, as Vote by Mail has been proven to be the most effective means to enfranchise voters.
To register to vote, you must be:
a) a citizen of the United States,
b) at least 17 years old (although you must be 18 to vote, you can register at age 17), and
c) living in Oregon (non-resident students and temporary residents are eligible).
There are three easy ways to register to vote.
1) You can register online at the website for the Oregon Secretary of State.
2) You can drop by the DPLC office and fill out a voter registration form. A DPLC volunteer will turn in your registration to Lane County Elections.
3) You can register to vote in person at Lane County Elections.
If you are interested in doing your civic duty and registering others to vote, contact the DPLC Community Action Chair.
