Our Privacy Policy
The Democratic Party of Lane
County (DPLC) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy is designed
to explain what information we gather and how we use that information. We are
committed to safeguarding you from unnecessary intrusion and protecting the
information we collect from unwanted distribution.
Information we collect
The DPLC maintains a list of email addresses of people that have expressed
interest in receiving our newsletter. Participation in this list is voluntary
and users can remove their names from the list at any time. We do not publish,
sell, or make available via other means this list. At times we may allow
candidates that have been endorsed by the DPLC to send email to this list, but
we do not disclose the names or email addresses on the list, to the candidates.
What we don't collect
We do not use cookies, small bits of data stored on your computer, to track
users. If in the future we decide to use this technology, we will inform users
of what we are placing on their computer and why.
We do not collect information about you without your permission. When personal
information is collected, we will employ an opt in method. Opt-in methods inform
the user that their information is being collected and gives them a chance to
avoid submitting information.
Posting of Email addresses, phone numbers or mailing address
It is our policy not to post these online without the consent of the owner,
unless the information is public knowledge (I.E. elected officials or public
entities like newspapers). If your information has been posted against your
wishes, please contact us and we will
rectify the situation promptly.
How we use information
Information collected through this site is used only by the Democratic Party of
Lane County. The DPLC does not profit or traffic in the distribution of
information about it's web users. Lists compiled online will be used for
fundraising, campaign volunteer recruitment, information dissemination and other
uses consistent with the goals of the DPLC. |
