MERKLEY TO HOLD TOWN HALLS IN DOUGLAS County
Town Halls are Sunday, February 19th and Monday, February 20th in Cottage Grove, Reedsport and North Bend, Oregon
Oregon’s Senator Jeff Merkley will hold town halls in Lane, Douglas and Coos Counties in the coming weeks.
He will update constituents on his work in Washington, DC and answer their questions and invite their suggestions about how to tackle the challenges facing Oregon and America.
“Fighting for Oregonians is my number one priority. Traveling to every county lets me hear directly how we can work together to make our state stronger,” Merkley said. “I urge all residents of Lane, Douglas and Coos Counties to come and discuss how we can create a brighter Oregon.”
In 2008, Merkley pledged to hold town halls in each of Oregon’s 36 counties every year. He upheld his pledge in the previous three years and is continuing that commitment in 2012. Lane, Douglas and Coos Counties will be his 11th, 12th and 13th town halls of 2012.
